Sounds reasonable to me, yet I believe in male and female creative energy that when combined produce offspring. So therefore, working from my vision, it would sound reasonable.

it mentiones that a species must have a "first mother and a "first father" etc etc.
is this rubbish?

although i consider myself to be christian, i am very much interested in astrology and the study of its affects on us.
i belive it is a science, however according to some of our previous and current beliefs, this is a no-no.
i was wondering if anyone else has an interest in this and how much of a conflict it really is with christianity?.
Hi !
Bare with me, I will ask my friend for you who opened my eyes to the possibilities within the stars.

i was reading the july wt.
at my mother's yesterday and the qfr asked about who should and shouldn't be viewed as an "unbeliever".
if a person was attending meetings and might even be an "unbaptized publisher" they should not be considered an "unbeliever".
There were 2 "qualified"baptized brothers in our congo that were near to my daughter's age. I tell you the truth they are both on medication for mental health problems--they have both been in the mental hospital
I believe you, there were brothers in my congregation of old who were suffering with their health. I am sorry for the situation you and your family found yourselves in. They have no right at all to judge your daughter in this way and stand accountable.

Don't just listen to this host of pointless skeptics, who have no doubt never studied astrology. The tabloid end of astrology is indeed bunk.
Paracelsus could have been classed as a Christian-astrologer.
The order of Rosicrucians have an interesting view of astrology.
I am starting to believe that we are intimately linked into every aspect of the universe we inhabit and that we are each given our distinctive personality at the moment that spirit joins flesh at our birth (when we take the breath of life into our lungs?).
The planets each resonate with their own energy and who is to say that this energy does not add an individual signature to each of us at birth? A cosmic fingerprint
As long as you do not claim that astrology is a science, the skeptics will leave you alone. However, there is a degree of observation and measure employed within astrological study, so there skeptic

having flirted with meat off and on through my life, but mostly conforming to the vegetarian standard (due to the obscenity for the most part that is the meat industry) - i noticed when serving with the society, that i came under fire from the brothers.. my moral arguments about cutting down on meat consumption based around the factory farming methods were cast aside and often sneered at.. "well god gave us the right to eat meat" was the usual line i had to swallow down.. have any of you guys faced the same situation?
Thanks for the input, it seems I am not alone in what I felt.
I noticed that it was mainly the male JWs who would voice an objection, viewing vegetarianism as some kind of limp-wristed opt-out lifestyle.
Only for the weak was the impression I got. The sneer as I said earlier was clearly manifest. Typical of any choice that steers away from the subtle (and not so subtle) social dogma that exists. The unwritten code that we all were slave to!

fear not:
1st john 4:18: there is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.
but he who fears has not been made perfect in love.. 2nd timothy 1:7: for god has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
I am skeptical about the "well documented" aspect of this... too much can be said to be documented and still meaningless.
Not to bore anybody to death by quoting this book again, but I have just read a follow up book by Colin Wilson called Beyond The Occult. It's fairly cheap and if you feel like indulging, give it a go. There are a few interesting case studies in there, along with an examination of human consciousness. I found it quite interesting and it helped round out my thoughts.

does this amount to actual knowledge or just a really good guess from the subconscious? how would one tell the difference? and since there seems no consistancy.... I would go with guess
It depends.
If the mind in detail describes future events in terms of location, personalities, specific information concerning event outcome then what would you think then?
This has happened and is relatively well documented. Especially during the 19th century when for the most part people were far more open-minded.
I accept that it challenges the "norm" - but why not challenge?

I have to remind myself at times, even now, years after learning these things, that I do not have the ability to KNOW the future.
It is rare, but precognitive thinking does exist, just reading about case studies coincidentally.

Certainly not of ancient writings that some people choose to view as sublime and "almighty inspired". They have no more bearing on my life or world than the writings etched onto the Colliseum walls in Rome.
What is wrong with gaining inspiration from ancient texts claimed to be inspired ?
Are you attacking ancient texts, or your former association with the WTBS?
